“Ini mesin yang berbeda dan ada sedikit perbedaan pada pengaturan sasis. Tapi itu hanya sentuhan pertama dan kami dapat memiliki sesuatu yang lain juga dalam pengujian berikutnya,” imbuh Valentino Rossi.

Pada MotoGP Austria 2016, Marquez hanya menempati posisi kelima. Sedangkan pada dua tahun terakhir dia hanya menjadi runner-up di Red Bull Ring.

Marquez menyadari balapan MotoGP Austria tak mudah ditaklukkan meski performanya musim ini sangat dominan dengan koleksi enam kemenangan dari 10 seri. Alhasil, Marquez tak berlama-lama larut dalam euforia setelah menjuarai MotoGP Ceska.
“Balapan setelah jeda musim panas benar-benar intens. Tentu saja kami senang dengan hasil di Brno, tapi kami perlu fokus lagi dan mempersiapkan diri untuk balapan di Austria,” kata juara bertahan MotoGP itu,
